Oh, you need to try a real British breakfast. Fried eggs, sausage, beans, mushroom, tomato, hash browns, toast, and black pudding if you’re feeling adventurous.

Uh ... that sounds like dinner. Damn, though, I forgot about the black pudding. I should've had Tiffani order some of that and freak out the waitress. "Black pudding?! What the hell is that? We don't serve Klingon fake food in this restaurant, missy. If you're not going to order real food, then get out!"

Not that the food was bad, but I just couldn't do beans for breakfast when I was over there. I tend to like light foods for breakfast and beans on toast seemed sluggish to me. But yeah, it was pretty good, actually.

Imogen was a bit surprised that the harvest was taking place now in Maize, being the city slicker as she was. She thought this was done when the weather was warmer and snow wasn't a concern.

Speaking of which - not that she was an expert - but wasn't it rather late in the year to be harvesting? Most other crops would be quite dead in this weather. She knew that much at least.

Isn't that why Thanksgiving is so late in the year? It's a harvest festival!
But for serious, yes, corn is harvested in October-November. That's why the game is set on the 9 days before Thanksgiving.
