"I don't know." he blurted out, frustrated and frowning. "Sounds about right? Like, you got sluts... I mean, indecent people and stuff stuff." Jean was master of technical terms. "Wedlock is when you are married. By a priest." his hands wove the sign of the cross on his chest. "It's a sacrament." Somehow, that seemed to make it more important.

"So it's a ritualistic special requirement," she stated. "Does it give you powers or something?"

[Jean Wellspeak]

"Yeah. I think. Makes it not sin." Jean nodded. "Doing that outside wedlock is sin."

[Reina Silva]

"... Look, man, I entered Arcadia when I was seven. I only kinda remember what a sin is," she clarified. "Like, maybe if you got a link that let you share thoughts or something, that would be cool. But I don't think my parents could do that. I'm... pretty sure they were probably married."

"Yeah, wedlock like proper people." he nodded, satisfied that Reina was not a filthy bastard. How, she might have been deamon-touched, but at least she was not a bastard. "Sin is distance from God and his commandments. Killing, lying, stealing. All that is sin. Think of hell, you know. That's a lot of sin right there, with the demons and their wicker parties."

"But... haven't we already been in Hell? I mean, I don't want to go back, but I didn't break any rules to get taken there," she replied, confusion written on her face. "I did kill a bunch of stuff when I was there, but in my defense, they were trying to eat me."

"Well, maybe we did something bad?" Jean suggested. "I know I lived in sin. I was a soldier." Thou shalt not kill was pretty steep when your job was to stab people until they stopped moving. "I am sorry." he bobbed his head, figuring that killing was men's job. He had seen female fae do disgustingly gruesome things, but had assumed that demon had truly no gender. That though had been later dispelled, though. "I cannot speak for you, of course."

"I was seven. What could I have done that was that bad?" She questioned.

"I have no idea. Original Sin? Mother of all women did betray her husband." Masud suggested. "Still, it must have been terrifying for someone that young." Whatever she had faced had turned her into a terrifying creature, Jean mused. "I didn't think I would ever able to leave. I guess it was the same for you."
