(D2, EE, Motel) House of Strangers

[Tiffani Noelle]

Tiffani makes a pretty impressive stretch with her right arm to snag a couple of Oreos out of the package, rising just a little out of her chair to reach that far. She was not about to become a victim of "move your feet, lose your seat."

"I haven't the slightest idea who Blondie and Eclipse are." She pulled one of the chocolate cookies away so she could get at the frosting in the middle - like almost everyone does - but showed a bit more class in public by eating both the second cookie and the frosting at the same time. "In fact, I don't know who any of you are ... except Marlowe ... and Imogen who I saw out in the cornfields."

[Marlowe Phillips]

"Three more, then." I wasn't sure who Eclipse was, but I remembered seeing a blond. "There's an elemental a few doors down."

[Jonathan Whitford]

He extended his hand to the two of them and nodded as he dipped his head to enter. "Yes, I get that a lot. Pleasure to meet you, Reina and Marlowe." He plops down the bottle of wine and looks around the space.

"You know, I do have a larger space if you need it. Sounds like you might have a few more people showing up."

[Reina Silva]

"Blondie's name was... uh, Jean, I think? I don't know much about 'im. Seems French. Talked about the devil a bunch," she said, rising to delicately pluck a couple of cookies from the package, oversize forearms and long claws giving a little extra reach. "Eclipse um... looks like a solar eclipse? He was nice, and he can do card tricks. I'm bad with names, so I don't remember his."

She waved to Tiffani, pulling her hood back to reveal rabbit ears and her full face. "Like I said, I'm Reina. I'm a monster. Nice to meet you. What's your name?"

[Jean Wellspeak]

Sometime later there was a polite knock on the door. Then the door opened and Jean strode in, full of confidence. "Well met, my fellow tormented! What is your business here!" His tone was rather demanding considering that he was a guest and that he was late.

[Reina Silva]

"Hey, there's Blondie," she noted.

[Jean Wellspeak]

Jean turned to look into the hallway, then turned back to everyone. "There's just me here."

[Marlowe Phillips]

"So, we have all but two. That's good." I stood, leaving my chair for anyone who might want to claim it. The room was a bit crowded now, like mixing a long island in a shot glass. "A bigger space might be a good idea in the future."

"As I said, my name"s Marlowe. Marlowe Phillip's. I'm a detective." I found a piece of wall to lean on as I looked over each if them. "It's not that hard to conclude that this many of us being here isn't a coincidence.
Someone or something brought us here."

[Jean Wellspeak]

Jean stepped in, taking a place by the door. "Hello." he greeted Reina. Spying the fearsome changeling with the tentacles, he gave her also a not. "Imogen." Even if she somehow managed to be pretty with the demons in her body. Jean filed this as Satan's work. "Yeah, Imogen told me you detect privates." Jean interjected, offering a nod to Marlowe. "God. God brought us here." Nothing was going to shake Jean's faith it seemed.

After Tiffani was done chomping down the first Oreo, she ridded herself of the crumbs by lightly clapping her hands together, then extended her hand to Reina. "Well hello Reina, the Bunny Monster, I'm Tiffani. Very pleased to meet you." It would seem Tiffani had pulled out all the stops with her manners all of the sudden. "Why on earth would you consider yourself a monster? I mean, look at the rest of us, no?" She chuckled at Raina and leaned back in the marginally comfortable hotel chair.

And that's when Jean came in talking about the tormented and demanding to know our business. When a gap in the conversation presented itself, Tiffanly glibly said, "Well, Marlowe and I were hoping to get a good price on some used forklifts that our warehouse full of Mexican Jumping Beans really needs right now. At the same time, Imogen and I were haggling over a few pallets of self-sealing stem bolts. That's what our business is here. Do you have anything you wish to buy or sell?"

Her tone as she said all of this was somewhere between sarcastic and facetious, the corners of her mouth turned slightly upward in a little enigmatic smirk. The almost see-through wings on her back beat slowly back and forth the way a butterfly's wings often did after it landed. Lamplight played along the silver and gold trim as they moved.

Then Tiffani erupted in a peel of giggles. "Detect privates? Oh dear .... "
