This motel is about as old as the invention of motor hotels, and little effort has been made to update it since. The rooms are musty, the moth-eaten carpets are peeling at the corners, the curtains are faded to a patchy beige that looks stained, but closer inspection reveals that the fabric was once patterned. The rooms are uninspiring, but they are air conditioned, have a mini-fridge, and flat screen TVs have replaced the old cathode-ray tube sets.
The mini-fridges are stocked with the usual array of ridiculously priced beers, wines, sodas, liquors, and chocolates. If you do not have at least 1 dot in Resources, you cannot afford them. There is also a cheap Keurig-style coffee maker, with an assortment of equally cheap coffee, tea, chai, and mocha pods. The pods are complimentary.
Small Rooms: The most basic of rooms available. These small rooms have a double bed and a tiny bathroom with no bathtub.
Large Rooms: Larger, but not necessarily better appointed, these rooms have two double beds, and the cramped bathroom has a shower-bathtub combo. A dot in Resources is required to rent one of these rooms; alternatively, two to four players can pool their funds without needing the Merit.
Luxury Rooms: Seeing the inside of these rooms might make you think the luxury label was a joke of some kind. Slightly larger than the Large rooms, these also have two double beds and a shower-bath combo, but the bathroom isn’t quite as claustrophobic. What you’re really paying for, however, is the sad excuse for a kitchenette: a microwave, sink, and additional bench space have been provided in addition to the standard mini-fridge and coffee machine. Two dots in Resources are required to rent one of these rooms; alternatively, two to four players with a single dot each in Resources can pool their funds to meet this requirement.
