One of the options we were given pregame was to save a couple merit dots to apply to a Motley formed in game. It may be best to do that sooner than later.

We should all meet up and then have a reason to Motley up. But yes, you are right.

You can still join and benefit from the formation of the Motley, if the others permit.

Forming a Motley is a contract between Changelings. It costs a point of Glamour per person to seal the contract, at which time all members gain a special benefit, such as the ability to know the exact location of other motley members at all times.

Members of a motley can also contribute dots to share merits. For example, if two motley members add a dot each of the Resources merit, all members of the motley then have access to Resources at the 2-dot level in addition to their own personal funds. It's a good way to access merits on the cheap.

Yeah, I think the plan is for this to be kind of a free for all Motley, as those of us contributing will get our dots back when it's over.

Which brings us to the next part. What Motley merits do we want? I have 2 dots to throw at them.

She did have a car to bail if things got too hairy, at least.
Your character would be aware that bailing would constitute Oathbreaking, and know the penalties that come along with that.
