According to the USDA (via swat.tamu.edu), in the years leading up to 1996 Nebraska didn't finish the corn harvest (95%+ of all crops harvested, not counting abnormalities due to economic or climate conditions) until December 1, and some states didn't finish until Dec 10.

It can be different year to year and by type of corn. I remember seeing articles about corn still being harvested around this past Thanksgiving.

Sorry, that was more of a subject comment than an objective. I honestly don't know. This is more of a "this feels late" than "it is late", speaking as a city slicker.

Yeah, that's why I made mention that Tiffani wasn't an expert on harvest times - and neither am I ... so who knows? She was just making a little mental observation.

I found it interesting, and just wanted to point out that I learnt that it wasn't that late after all.

I know almost nothing about corn, so before I really started writing the campaign I spent a bunch of time googling stuff and being like "huh, white corn, that's a thing".
