The big advantage of Events is that it doesn't involve waiting around on me or others. However, using the Teamwork option in investigations means working out what everyone else is doing before you can roll any dice. I can simplify matters by removing the Teamwork option all together, and letting everyone roll their choice of dice pool and timeslot. Further, as the investigations get more difficult, contributing to a single roll will likely become less appealing as you need more successes.
Teamwork will still be important in the late game.

Re: Investigations & Teamwork
I feel collaboration might feel the niche of working together. However, I haven't been exposed to the new system for very long to see how larger dice pools are realized.
