"You're a smart girl." I nodded. "It's good to be careful. I should be easy enough to find, if you need me."

[Tiffani Noelle]

Tiffani reached behind her, pulling her fringed leather jacket from the back of her chair. She sort of figured that that was a cue that Marlowe was leaving - and she wasn't about to sit by herself in a restaurant.

"You're staying in the motel with the rest of us, no?"

[Marlowe Phillips]

"I am." I set out enough bills to cover the tab. "Just look for the big old Buick, a LeSabre."

[Tiffani Noelle]

I'm not sure if I'll be staying in the motel tonight with everyone else ... or not." Tiffani slings the jacket over her shoulders and puts it on, taking a moment to untangle some of the fringe hanging below her left arm. "I have to talk to the local priest ... did I mention this already? Anyhow, I usually finagle a room at one of the churches, but ... and no don't worry about it. I made it all the way here from Moose Jaw, Sasketchewan doing this same thing."

She paused a moment, again that head tilt as if curious about something. "Who would name a city Moose Jaw? How odd." She zips up her coat halfway, noticing that there was an actual warming trend taking place. "Anyhow ... a big Buick LeSabre. Got it."

"Like I said, I'll probably say yes." And without another word of goodbye, she turns quickly and leaves the restaurant, her faerie wings pressed against her back and her spiral locks mingling with the rainbow colors of those wing's delicate membranes.

I finished the last of my coffee as I watched her leave. A few moments later, I was gone myself.
