The huntsman was just too damn far away - and he wasn't moving. She had hoped he would keep mobile on his steed, but he was smart enough to stay out of range of touch attacks. She was hoping to save her last ranged contract for an ace-in-the-hole, but ...

She stopped running for a moment - and having utterly no idea what a huntman's greatest fear was, allowed the contract to know for her. Thus she began to change... and it was weak. Really weak - as if the contract didn't know what frightened a huntsman either. So she just kept running.

The Huntsman was able to shake off the playmate’s attempt to embody his fear, but it wasn’t a sure thing, and he was momentarily distracted. Fighting both Tiffani’s paralysing influence and Penn’s twisting vines was proving draining, his efforts to throw off both were weakening.

Steve continued forward. It cost him nothing but forward momentum to keep urging the stone to strike at the Huntsman, even if his continued to fail to strike his target.

Tiff only ran for a short distance as the huntsman wrestled with the vines. She could tell he was weakening - perhaps even losing this fight. She knew she would never get there in time to do a bloody thing, so she again abruptly stopped, severing some part of herself to initiate the contract. Tiffani herself was weakening - another contract or two would leave her ... well, she didn't know what would happen.

Again, she begain to change. "Work this time, dammit," she hissed at the contract as though it could hear her.

She couldn't see herself of course, but it seemed to work a lot better than last time. She grinned ferally and began sprinting after the huntsman at full run.

The onslaught of Wyrd is too much for the Huntsman. His eyes widen as he looked at Tiffani, “I... just... need... more time,” he hissed in alarm. Panic filled his eyes as he wrestled with the writhing vines, desperate now to free himself.
